Thaddeus McCants (He/Him) was Black and Jewish way before Drake made it cool, but he is also a Brooklyn-based Playwright, Television Writer, and Actor originally from Madison, Wisconsin.
As a television writer his pilot ‘Lit Lounge’ is the winner of the 2020 BET Project Crea8 pilot competition and is currently in development with Tracy Oliver Productions. He was also a winner of the 2020 Yes, And Laughter Lab; a semifinalist for the 2020 ATX Pitch Competition and has won film festivals on both coasts. As a playwright, he is the resident playwright at Bloomfield College and his work has been named a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference and produced and developed around the country. As a performer, he has appeared in National TV commercials, Originated Disney Musicals, worked on screen with HBO & MTV, and performed on the MainStage of UCB NY (RIP…pour one out for the homies.)
He is currently finishing his MFA at NYU and holds a BFA from Ithaca College.
